Can’t get Google Search to work

Hi there!

First off, SeoTools for excel is such a game changer. Thank you very much!

It used to work perfectly fine (1 month ago) but now I always get Null result.
I've tried to uninstall SEOtool and reinstall it. But nothing seems to works.

I've seen the topic: Can’t get Google Search to work. Always NULL

And I don't see the connector in the Manager. Do you have a way to help me out?

Hi, and thank you for the kind words!

We've removed the Google Search connector because it's too difficult to scrape reliably. However, old connector files still exist if installed before we removed it.

You can still scrape Google using many of the connectors in the SEO category.

Hi,

I only bought the tool to scrape the keyword results as a formula. With version 9.3.xy this was just possible. I have now updated to 9.7. and nothing works anymore. :(((((

Can I revert the tool to the old version that was working just now? That would save me a lot of time and nerves.

Hi,

You can add the old Google Search connector manually by saving the following xml in the install directory/connectors folder:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/nielsbosma/SeoTools-for-Excel-Connectors/release-9.3/GoogleSearch.xml
