I received this error after attempting to install both v6.0.5 and 6.1.2 "setup ended prematurely because of an error" I'm using W 7 SP1 64 bit and Excel 2003. Current version of Framework is installed.
Any suggestions ?

Try to reboot your computer. Has solved the problem for me sometimes.
