I'm trying to get the number of times a URL has been tweeted. No matter what URL I input, I always get #NULL! returned.
I set up the API keys and entered them into the Twitter Connector. Very confused here, and the documentation on Twitter is really lacking.
After much clicking around the Documentation, I've finally found the page about the updated Twitter Connectors, and in particular Twitter Tweets.
However, when using the plugin it inserts the formula like this:
=Connector("Social.TwitterTweets","seotoolsforexcel.com")
...but the documentations shows
=Connector("Social.TwitterTweets";"seotoolsforexcel.com")
Note the semi-colon rather than comma. Unfortunately Excel throws a fit when I try to replace the comma with a semi-colon. Which should it be?
...and further investigation into getting that Tweet count via other tools has led me to the news that Twitter shut down the API that provides this info?!?! Arg, etc.
Yes that correct. Twitter has removed this from their button "API" (wasn't a public API so I can't blame them).
I can't believe twitter have removed this valuable tweet count metric.
However some options are emerging to get this data by other means
